The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, under the leadership of Eduard Heger, is fulfilling another promise and announces a selection procedure for the position of President of the Financial Administration. As in the case of the election of the Chairman of the Council for Budget Responsibility of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic through an open process, it sets the right precedent for the future.
"We also want to make this tender public, we want the media to be watched by the media," said Finance Minister Eduard Heger at the press briefing, who invited people who are tax experts, have management skills and a responsible approach to obligations.
It is important to the Minister of Finance "that the best of the best be at the head of the financial administration. Financial management is important in terms of consolidating public finances and the budget. We need to radically reduce tax evasion, the tax gap; strengthen analytical and control activities. "
According to Heger, the equally important task of the financial administration is to drive black sheep out of its ranks. "Tax fraudsters need to understand that the golden age is over. Conversely, financial administration should reward honest taxpayers and treat the public pro-client. The goal of this government is a modern and fair Slovakia, where people live well, "said the head of the finance department.
At the same time, the Ministry of Finance is launching tenders for management positions in other companies within the scope of the ministry. Specifically, these are Tipos, the Slovak Electricity Transmission System (SEPS), the Slovak Guarantee and Development Bank (SZRB) and the Slovak Consolidation Bank.
